At the End of April this year the City has destroyed the forest on 29th St and Zion Street.
We started asking questions because the City left us in the Dark. ↓
We Demand them to Stop Construction until we have our Answers on our terms.
We the Neighbors of West Central Neighborhood Demand the City of Little Rock to Stop all Construction of the Zion Project in which they have failed to inform the public and destroyed acres of forest which risk flooding in our community. We will not be kept in the dark. WE WILL NOT BE IGNORED.
Our Community Demands
We have signed a petition for the City of Little Rock to address this issue. With over 100* signatures of actual residents who live in the John Barrow Neighborhood we have demands for the City.

Immediate Halt & Transparency
We demand an immediate stop to all construction, legal proceedings, and city-approved actions related to the 29th & Zion Street project. All permits, environmental reports, and storm-water studies must be released to the public 10 days before any meeting, with no redactions. No discussions will occur until these documents are provided.
Accountability for Harm
The city must publicly admit it violated laws by failing to notify residents before deforestation, worsening flood risks and ecological damage. All improper rezoning, permits, and bids must be canceled retroactively.
Community-Led Process
Any meeting will be organized solely by petitioners, with no involvement from city officials or developers. Speaker lists and Q&A agendas must be shared 5 days in advance. We reject past tactics like inconvenient scheduling or suppressed input—especially from Ward 6 Director Andrea Lewis.
Formal Council Action
This issue must be added to the City Council’s official agenda, with guaranteed speaking rights for petitioners. We insist on equal treatment—no procedural barriers or time limits.
